Hello fans of Nice Uncovered! I’m so grateful for your support I’d like to offer you the opportunity to take a self-guided audio tour of Unesco Nice FOR FREE! I put together this audio tour for voicemap.me because I think more people should know about Nice’s remarkable urban and architectural heritage. From the edges of Cours Saleya along the Promenade des Anglais and through the prestigious Carre d’Or neighborhood I’ll take you through the seascapes, parks, villas, churches and architectural landmarks that made Nice the pride of the Riviera. (More info here)
How to do it? Leave me a message in the Chat on the bottom of this page and I will send you the code for a free voucher which you will enter here: https://voicemap.me/tour/nice/navigating-nice-s-belle-epoque-a-guide-to-the-unesco-heritage-city. Just download the voicemap.me app and instead of paying for the tour you enter the voucher code. It’s easy! And you’ll have fun exploring a part of Nice that deserves its place in the sun.
And here’s another idea for free fun. Although it’s not been well publicized the Massena Museum in Nice has mounted a virtual reality experience of the disappeared Casino de la Jetée Promenade. This outstanding pleasure palace on the sea was destroyed by German occupiers in 1944 but now you can see what all the fuss was about on this virtual reality reconstruction. It’s free but you do need to reserve a spot which you can do here
The reservation page is in French but the experience is in French or English.
You’re welcome!
Now if you could do me a small favor. . .Have you left a rating for Nice Uncovered: Walks Through the Secret Heart of a Historic City on Amazon? It would REALLY help me a lot if you could do so! You can leave your rating (and review if you like) on Amazon.com or Amazon.fr depending on where you bought the book.
Thanks so much!
Enjoyed your talk at Après-Midi and would love to have the audio tour to explore. Thanks.
I would love to go on your audio tour!
We have been enjoying the walks in your book – they are so informative and we have learned so much. We have a holiday home on the Cap de Nice. I’d love you to write something covering the port area, the Cap de Nice and Mont Boron in your next book! (Stravinsky once lived here and there’s a fountain for horses donated by Queen Victoria on the Basse Corniche and also the wonderful Chateau de l’Anglais – all very near each other – for starters!)
Best wishes
